| Maybach loses its roof This thing is gangsta!!! - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER A US car modifier has created a Maybach for all seasons with a soft-top roof that folds into the body. </B> ![]() The world-first convertible version of the million-dollar Maybach 57 limousine is the brainchild of coach builder Genaddi Design Group, which uses a modified version of the Mercedes-Benz CLK soft folding roof. The convertible conversion costs $209,000 but that's after you've bought the car, which in Australia costs about $1 million. Genaddi says it used computer aided design to overcome the significant engineering challenges in keeping the body rigid after peeling off the roof and then removing the structural support. Most car manufacturers shy from building four-door convertibles because rigidity is far more difficult - and costly - to achieve than with a two-door version. Just in case having one of the only convertible Maybachs around isn't exclusive enough, Genaddi says it has many other options available for an "additional investment". |

You're damn right about it being Gangsta Alex... WOW. The AMG rims looks awesome on it too. Heck it's even got the SL55/65 side-vents. Is thata more aggressive mouth I see on the car.. coz if it is, then this thing is tha sh!t..!! Lovin it. Ofcourse the whole drop-top thing is just awesome too!! Wonder if MB will take up on this since Bentley made the Drophead Convertible, and Roller made the 100EX convertible. ?? ![]() |

I'm just wondering whether that's a 'normal' MM 57, or a 57S. Now if only we could see the back of this thing. If it's anything like an AMG rear-end, then OMG, this thing will be the absolute KING of convertibles..!! | |
