I was there for 6 months in 1997 when i was serving my military service in the Air Force (no i wasn't a pilot and no i 'm not kidding). Apparently the boat hit a ledge just before getting into the port when a bust of wind changed it's course. A French tourist and his daughter are both missing sadly. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My Cruise Boat Sank today on the news (in 10 minutes) they will show the first underwater videos of the ship wreck.. Actually three summers before i was at a friend's house (dad's friend) that has a clear view of the place of the accident. And this is the only Easter that he didn't visit Santorini. PS. Nice island but kinda boring... Anyway. I spoke to the second in command of that ship once. This guy above (who is also the owner of a 540K) knows him, so i met him too. Anyway, he is very skilled and experienced! He could save the ship. It was very easy, BUT the company forced him to sink the ship. This way they will get a full refund otherwise they would loose a lot of money! As about the two french, if they don't find them in the ship then i don't know... Something smells bad... |

![]() | Re: My Cruise Boat Sank What happened was real sad. My wifes been so paranoid now that she heard about this. We were planning on going to a cruise this summer but might have to postpone it for a while until she feels comfortable enough to go on a cruise. Hope they found the french tourist and the daughter. |
