My family is already there, embassy took them and other UAE nationals to Syria, theyre going to come back to the UAE in a couple of hours.

Lebanon does have a military but it is incomparable in size and power when compared to the israeli war machine and it's main use is for internal securoty purposes ( meaning that so far it's completely useless). The Lebanese government does NOT support in any way any act of Terrorism and as a matter of fact the first declaration by the lebanese government was that they were NOT even aware that Hizbollah was planning on kidnapping israeli soldiers...but even that still does not mean that they dont bare any responsibility, because in the end it is the government job by nature the be able to secure the safety of each and evey one of it's citizens

That the Muslim countries in the region simply sit back and turn a blind eye to what is happening over there, what has happened over the past few decades, shows how corrupt and spineless their governments are. Who cares when oil money is constantly being poured into your pockets so you can build another 50 palaces right?

Are you saying other Muslim countries should be helping Lebanon(if not, nevermind)? If they do, they'll be branded as axis of evil within two seconds. I cannot believe some of the stuff that Bush said.

They need to take a more pro-active stance against some of the BS that has been going on and at least provide some even footing in the situation, not necessarily in terms of this new situation with Lebanon, but more to do with the decades long struggle of the Palestinian people.

Bush is so blatantly pro-Israeli it would be almost impossible for him to mediate even mildly successful peace talks. But I don’t think he ever intended to do that.

i can almost say with 100 % certainty that if the US stoped supporting israel the surrounding muslim nations would attack..
but they dont do it now..cause they know the us will hit them hard..even go to war for israel.. and afterall a gov 1st priority is to defend their own land and ppl

Yea. For the most part that would be true. But you know the US will not give that up.
