Lamborghini sales Booming.

Lamborghini Sales Booming

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini is enjoying a spectacular year, with January-June sales up 45% on last year. Part of the reason for this is that there are simply more Lamborghinis to buy. The Gallardo Spyder convertible (pictured below) was introduced a few months ago, and there's a 12-month waiting list for the Murciélago LP640 which made its debut at this year's Geneva Show.

In addition, there are many more places to buy Lamborghinis from. At the beginning of this year there were 65 Lamborghini dealers in the world. Now there are 88, and by the end of 2006 there will be 100. New dealerships have opened in India and Russia, extending the geoegraphical spread.

"The increased awareness of our brand through a growing dealer network makes the Lamborghini image more visible to our customers, who are evermore expectant, and who today enjoy the possibility of personally experiencing our new models with relative logistical ease," says Lamborghini's President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

The big growth area for Lamborghini is the US, where first-half sales are up 68% on 2005. Deliveries in the UK have improved by 41.4%, above the company's European growth average of 29.3%.

Lamborghini has some + % in the Norwegian car marked.
But people still buy most Porsche, then the Ferrari, so the Lambo is the most Exotic car in Norway!

I really and honestly hope they are selling fewer Lambos than Ferraris because Lamborghini's have always been rarer and more exotic and it should stay that way. It's a good way to maintain the myth of a company.

Read the article too.

But not to make profits.
Look people make no mistake about it, if AM, bentley and Ferrari tell something, is that you need to go over the 5000 unit barrier to make profits.
So I'm sorry, till then Lambo's just another moneyloser.com.

According to a list at - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER, during the first six months of 2006, 9 Gallardos were registered in Sweden (up 3 from last year). No mention of Murcielagos (although there's quite a few "others" . Ferrari sold a total of 27 cars, no mention of which models (down 2 from last year).

Re: Lamborghini sales Booming.

sales have been booming yess... but has any one cheked out Ebay lately...
there are 3 pages list of lambo's for sale... and %99 are pre 2001..

these cars are becoming more comon ,, and that realy dosnt help in my view... it takes away from that luster. of actualy seing a lambo...

and in all honesty they do need to make a profit... and all there sales of more new cars is benefiting the owners of the older lambo's so its a good for me. ive seen the prices of LM002 rise since i started the full rebuild on my Rambo lambo..

but thats jjust my view.

You are making a good point. There are too many Gallardos and continental GTs being sold. VAG should limit the production of Lambo cars a bit so that their cars are just as exclusive as Ferraris.

But Ferrari outsells Lambo by a ratio of 5 to 1 last timed I checked.
Also the operational profit of Ferrari is 20 times higher than Lambos.
Until they brake the 5000 unit barrier Lambo will continue to be a black hole.
