Trust me, unless that >400HP is a mistake, the IS-F will be significnatly faster than their standard IS350. It will likely be faster than the old E46 M3, W203 C55, and definitely the B7 S4. Whether it will keep up with the upcoming V8 M3, W204 C63 and current RS4 is another story.

I too expect the IS-F to be faster than 4.9 secs, more like 4.4 to 4.5 secs to 60 mph. I stil don't think the Germans have anything to worry about. M |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Official: performance car from Lexus IS-F For a performance car, the engine bay is dead boring. Everything is covered by a giant piece of silver plastic. It looks like Lexus is going to make the IS-F a 4 seater model only, but it is not a big deal though cause the normal IS struggles to fit 3 normal sized humans at the back. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Official: performance car from Lexus IS-F Tacky tacky tacky (Just like their supercar!) But I'm sure it will appeal to the Lexus crowd and young ricer crowd, so sales success is assured. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Official: performance car from Lexus IS-F I like it, I think they'll sort some of the issues before the cars reaches series production. At the very least you'll be able to run it into the ground as it was meant to be without a worry. A lot of hard work as been put into this car, and it's built on one of the best assembly lines of any manufacturing facility in the world. |

The front is the nicest part I feel. Much better looking than the standard IS. I think that area under the hood and above the lower air intakes could use some reworking though. The side and rear is where the design falls apart. That section of the body kit infront of the front doors looks incredibly RICEish. This ruins the side design IMO because when you look at the car, you can't help but notice this portion and how "outrageous" it looks in comparison to the generally tame body kit design. At the rear, I find the stacked exhausts incredibly tacky. Lexus probably thought this would be creative, cool or different: it's none of them IMO. ![]() BTW, great thread on Autospies about this. 168 trollish comments already. After reviewing the comments from AutoSpies, as well as here and even a few Lexus forums I can tell you the new IS-F isn't well likeD. In fact I've found very few who actually like it. It's sort of a typical Lexus/Toyota thing. They always introduce these crazy designs (whether it's this IS-F going from the IS350) or for another example, the MK3 Supra (blocky, shark nose) to the MK4 Supra (overstated). The Toyota fans which hate this vehicle right now will most likley warm up to it as it's near's release. I hate that about Toyota...Love..hate...love..hate ![]()

BTW, I think if Lexus toned down the that outrageous side air scoop (or whatever that is) and changed the rear exhausts, it wouldn't be that bad looking. As it is, the front is ok, but the side and rear views just make me wonder what they were thinking. It doesn't look sporty or elegant to me either. I just can't help but think of R I C E when I look at those areas. No offense. ![]()
