I agree. The back looks much better than the current model. It actually reminds me of the previous generation, but better. I like the front - a huge improvement I'd say.

New pics...
I like the interior, a huge improvement from the previous model. I think this is even better than the Avalon.

Front=Mazda
Side=Honda
Dashboard=Volkswagen
Instruments=Porsche

Toyota is the biggest copycat in the auto industry.

I do like the Avalon. The car is head and shoulders above its peers on looks alone, and that's quite a feat considering the car's track record and positioning. If the car had Lexus bages and was sold as an ES nobody would flinch.

The car looks so nice it's shaken the median age appeal down roughly 10 years. Heck, I've even thought of getting one.

Re: 2007 Toyota Camry

That car is ugly. It seems they took design cues from a lot of different cars and then just put them together all in one car. I'm used to Toyotas being bland but hardly ever ugly, at least the ones sold outside Japan. I didn't expect great things but still I'm disappointed.

Re: 2007 Toyota Camry

I think the new Lexus's look so simlair to this, another reason why I would never buy a lexus! The interior is similair to the GS and rear is like the new Ls and the front it just messed up. The grill is droopy and terrible...

Re: 2007 Toyota Camry

I see lots of hated towards Toyota around here. After all, this is America’s best-selling car. You’ve gotta give it some credit.

I, for one love Toyota’s. That’s all they use in the Middle East. The models they get there are much better in term of quality and reliability compared to the ones the rest of the world gets. My family has always bought Toyota’s there, and we’ve never had a problem with any of them. We’ve had many Camry’s, Land Cruiser’s, and Avalon’s. The first car I learned how to drive was an ’84 Land Cruiser with 4-speed manual.

Actually, my brother has had his Camry for six years now, and it still performs as though it’s still new. Two of my uncles just bought Land Cruisers, one a GX-R and the other is a VX-R, and my cousin still has his ’94 Land Cruiser, and yes, they are all used off road.

Anyway, back on topic, I really think the new Camry looks like the previous Camry, but more modern if you will. I also agree that it looks like the IS, it always has if you look back. The interior is like the Solara’s.
I guess it all comes down to taste, so I’m sticking with my Camry no matter how it looks LOL. I just wanna see an interior with a manual tranny now.

I noticed that the link I posted earlier is not working, so here are the images. I also uploaded a couple of images of my uncle’s VX-R.

The previous Camry

And the Solara's interior:

Re: 2007 Toyota Camry

Toyota is undoubtly one of the most reliable and value-for-money cars on the road.
