I personally think that Lexus new design language is an huge improvement from the their previous too japanese looking car. But what Am I seeing now? Toyota has decided to use the new Lexus design for their upcoming Toytas and that will definetly not boost Lexus image here in Europe. Instead of Lexus car looking like Toyotas it goings the other way around and potential IS buyer with definetly not appretiate this. |

![]() | Re: 2007 Toyota Camry It doesn't seem that close to me. But I suppose that we will see how it works out. Then again, maybe they've decided that making a reasonably desirable Camry will work out much better for them than a relatively niche oriented model such as the IS - the Camry is pretty much Toyota's bread and butter, IMHO. I reckon instead that Mazda is going to be furious when they see the grille - it's like the Mazda3, more specifically the sedan. And the rear reminds me, of all things, of the latest Hyundai Sonata, which in turn reminds me a bit of the American Honda Accord. But overall a good effort, and something that's proportionally a lot better than the current Camry. |

Probably Toyota and Lexus have the same designers. If the next E will look anything like this , Mercedes will have a problem not cause it will look like a Toyota but because this Toyota is ugly. |

![]() | Re: 2007 Toyota Camry Looks like somebody leaked the official pictures of the '07 Camry. I do agree that it has some Lexusness in it. The back does look similar to the Honda Cvic and the Hyundai Sonata, but it also has some touches from the Avalon. ![]() Souce: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER |

![]() | Re: 2007 Toyota Camry Yeah, I think the interior looks a bit Lexus-like, too. The car doesn't look too bad, proportionally, though I don't like how the rear sort of sticks up in the air from the side view (like the current Camry). The grille is a little odd, but the rest of the car shouldn't be too bad. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: 2007 Toyota Camry The guys in the office and I are convinced that the new Camry will quickly blend into the sea of cars, despite the fresh new look. There's some good details and the post-Bangle haunches are a good turn, but everything above the beltline looks extremely placid and the basic porportions of the car remain rather... well you know - icky. Another hit by Toyota, but the aesthetics definitely won't break Toyota free of the brand's vanilla image. The Avalon Jr. it isn't. |

![]() | Re: 2007 Toyota Camry How do you mean "Avalon Jr. it isn't"? To me, it's implying you like the Avalon.. I'm also rather of the opinion it will blend into the sea of cars. Ultimately it really doesn't look so much different from, say, a Mazda 3 or 6, a Hyundai Sonata, or the US spec. Accord. Plus, the very fact that it looks decent enough that there will be thousands of the things will mean that it will become very .. ubiquitous, very soon. |
