Re: Lexus LS600h Unveiled at NYIAS

I'm really what Lexus did with this car, it's fantastic.

I'll definitely consider this apart from the Germans.

Wow, it's fantastic!

My mothers friend has had every LS since the first one and I'm pretty sure that he will buy this one as well. I can't wait to ride in it and try out all the features

Re: Lexus LS600h Unveiled at NYIAS

One thing I find a little weird is that this car is still many months away from launch. Would imagine that there should be a 3 month gap betwene unveiling and until you can see it in dealers. Guess Lexus is trying to make people stop buying S classes...probably won't do well with that goal.

Seems the electic motor has around 200hp by itself. Sadly, the laws of physics do not allow you to simply add the power from the IC engine (say 400 hp) and the electric motor to get someting pushing out north of 600hp...

Re: Lexus LS600h Unveiled at NYIAS

I think the S class still has the better driver's compartment: just looks more modern and stylish, whereas the Lexus is more functional but hodgepodge: no real style there. That said, I have no doubt the Lexus will be the more quieter, smoother proposition, especially when it is only using the electric motor.

Re: Lexus LS600h Unveiled at NYIAS

well this is definitely a good car, a very good car. I don't know what the price for this will be but I think it will definitely be the best car for the money as long as they can keep the price around or a bit under the 7er. That being said, if I were in the market and I couldn't afford the S, this is something I would definitely consider. Lexus has definitely put out a good product, the style is good the interior is good and overall the car is very good. So my hats off to Lexus.
