Top Secret, call it my tiny little mind but I just can't get my head around eight forward speeds. I can't help but irrationally muse that this smacks of oneupmanship as how is it possible that 8 ratios are required where 6 in a 7er will do?

I'm massively curious as to how the shift logic works - especially for gears 3,4,5,6 - in day to day driving; the slightest toe flex at 90 km/h resulting in a flurry of gear changes up and down, up and down. [Ok, overactive imagination at work here, but hey, you know me... ]

Eight speeds. Dang.

That aside, this looks like a well crafted, well researched new LS that won't alienate existing LS owners - a primary consideration - whilst looking smoothly contemporary at the same time.

Well to be perfrectly honest, the interior of this Lexus is no less tasteful than the Maybach's - it's funny how people are willing to accept the utter lack of elegance of the Maybach, simply because it is a German luxury car.

Now I ask you, is this interior of the Exelero any better?

Wow that interior is really looking rather repulsive. It seems so 80's. The styling is really really bad. I hope the pictures are very wrong. I really had high hopes for this car.

lol that interior is just made for stitting and breaking records... we would never se such interior on a productions MM.. compare the MM62 or 57 to the lexus ..

But you are correct in a way. When I look at these images of a Lexus concept interior, I just wonder to myself, why the hell do they hire these designers at all - I mean, they do some beautiful work like this, and then the go a put some tacky, dumbed-down, non-descript, wood and leather "abortion" together for their production model - I just can't understand it.

They employ some great designers...so why don't they deploy their Ideas.

To be absolutely honest Artist, I wouldn't rate it very much higher at all actually.

For a car that costs as much as a very nice house, I think it's rather unspectacular.



With gold-plating...............well, ha........I guess you would either need to have a lobotomy or be a Russian oligarch to find this attractive.
