![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New Lexus LS430 - Lexus Claims "Best Car in the World" hmmm..seems like i'm the only person who likes this car. the exterior isn't groundbreaking or anything, but this is a rolling marvel of technology. if toyota manages to pull off this much tech without having all the recalls like their german counterparts, then they have done some seriously good work. here are some notable pieces of technology: -380hps/370lb -8 speed! -rear recliner seats with leg rests (thats maybach luxury!) -driver assited park system (parks the car automatically) -19 speakers -4000 song hard drive all info from jalopnik. more pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Re: New Lexus LS430 - Lexus Claims "Best Car in the World" Tine - You're trying to make this too big of a deal. It's a minute feature, one that 99% of the people here probably don't care about. It's like saying that the 7 Series was a copy of the S-Class because it's the same size. Yannis - What was the point of the 7-speed automatic? What about the 6-speed? It's just technology moving on. I agree with notic, it is a great car and one that brings countless new features. |

It's simple and elegant. My grim with the interior is that the wood panels look far too cheesy, and the colour combination is a wreck for the one on display. Maybe a beige interior would look better. The interior design is also rather old school when compared to the new GS. I surely hope they include a touch screen in this car - I must agree with notic, this car is a step foward for the automotive world. Many technological advances. The legroom for rear passengers is really fantastic. |

There's obviously some benefit in having an 8-speed, hence the reason why they developed it. The fact that it gave Lexus a one over MB would have just been a bonus. | |
