The Jetson-inspired interior is no different—not a bad thing, but we also were reminded of just how tight the Tribeca’s second-row seat is when there’s a third-row behind it (two-row Tribecas have much more space in the back seat). Perhaps when the Tribeca is completely redesigned, say, in 2011 or 2012, Subaru will remedy the Tribeca’s cramped rear quarters, and finally get the front end right. They got the engine part down, which is an excellent place to start. | Re: First Drive: 2008 Subaru Tribeca - Previews It's weird how people hated the styling of the car, because it looked too radical and ugly, and now they have toned it down, and Americanised it, they still complain about the styling! |

| Re: First Drive: 2008 Subaru Tribeca - Previews This facelift version is a slight improvement but i have to wait till i see this in person to give a final verdict. The old version doesn't look as bad in real life, and it actually looks ok from the side in black. I don't mind putting that 3.6L flat six in my car, apparently it is even lighter than the 3.0L version. The subaru flat six engines lack low end torque so i suggest they should put the WRX engine in it instead of enlarging the six cylinder engine. |
