![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Serrenia Serrenia ![]() Finally the Oil sucking sheiks in Egypt have decided to spend some of their cash, rather than letting the numbers in their bank account pointlessly increase. The build project is nothing but spectacular. A gigantic area with a Spa, Marina but most specially villas with striking designs. BTW, this ain't just some vision, the construction began in January this year. It will all be finished in 2010. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The palace. 5 of these 1 500 square meter palaces will be built. The space is enough to host a party for 600 people. ![]() Apartments ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Serrenia Hey, they are fantastic. Is there any information on the architects ...it kinda reminds me of the work of Santiago Calatrava ...one of my favourite architects. Are these aimed at westerners? I have heard that the resorts in Egypt are quite strange ...the beautiful beaches are full of westerners sunbathing ...but you step in to the street and the local women are wearing full burkas -- the Middle East is a place of contrasts. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Serrenia Responsible for architecture is British Foster & Partners. The villas are inspired by the sand dunes in the desert. ![]() The first building that crossed my mind when I looked at the images of the villas is SLR factory Paragon. ![]() As for the who this extraordinary neighborhood is aimed at I would say wealthy Egyptians with business in real estate, tourism or the oil-industry. Due to the pyramids Egypt has always been a popular tourist nation for westerns. Although there are many there annually, the majority are middle class people and can in no way afford to buy some of properties in the middle east. The only ones who have enough money to buy a summer house in the middle east are tycoons, CEOs and owners of several companies. |
