Habitat 67

Habitat 67
Yupp, just like the name suggests the building was finished in 1967. Despite its age of 40 years I think it is an extraordinary building. It is pretty clear that the architecture was given more of less free hands and I love the reesult. Most people would categorise the building as being modern but I think of it as deconstructive in the sense that the building is ilogical and in some sense, a waste. Where is it located? Suprisingly it is located in Montreal, Canada and it is an aparment complex for you who wonder.

Re: Habitat 67

Technically they are not aparments... but condos.

Either way, it is indeed a very cool building.

I've seen them...they're down by the F1 track.

It looks like something sponsored by Lego...
