Nothing ruins an outfit like a splint! Yesterday I was out having lunch and the darn fork slipped , hit a cherry tomato and it landed on my secretary's shoulder ![]() People are a lot more careful shaking my hand ( or avoid it all together) Does anyone else suffer from this? |

![]() ![]() | Re: I Hate Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!! Go and get a referral from your local doctor to see a orthopaedic surgo who will fix the problem with a simple, low evasive operation to reduce the pressure on the ulna and median nerve. You may not even require surgery as there are many different drugs and on some occasions even a simple splint for a week can reduce the pain. The operation is simple. A small incision and the surgeon just cuts thorugh the fat tissue of the wrist until he gets to the transverse carpal ligament which is responsilbe for placing the pressure on the neves. The ligament is cut and pressure removed of the nerve and everything is stitched up. Extremely low risk sugery. |

I know it's low risk surgery, but the key words to that phrase are: "risk" and Surgery" There are a whole array of physicians in my family; my Mom is a retired surgeon, theur opinion is that I will get better in time. Meanwhile, I'll just have bad table manners ![]() |
