In everyday driving the R32 is probably more fun than the 997 (non-S), because the limits of the 997 are so much higher. You'd have to drive the 997 at 7/10ths or higher to have fun while the R32 is probably fun at 5/10ths.
Remember the saying "better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow"?
Also sounds like cost is a big issue for this guy and that is damping his fun.
