I used to love the Golf IV. It was a great car, sporty interior, looked cool....and then the Golf V came along and changed everything. The driver facing cockpit was gone, interior material quality fell, the outside shape became rounder and overall all it said out loud was ---BORING !!!

I pray that the Golf VI goes back to its roots....

But the Mk IV did nothing better in terms of performance and dynamics. Especially for the GTI - considered even better than R32 in Golf V.

I do hear some of the comments about the MkV feeling like a truck because you sit so high.
