***Spotted my first GL: GL420 CDI***

Saw this this morning at the local Mercedes-Benz dealer. Looks awesome. The GL-Class sure is one handsome SUV. It's muscular, big and looks like a nice truck. In fact, it's too big for Europe IMO but it still looks nice. People say this doesn't compete with the Q7, but the Q7 is equally big - almost similar in size when compared visually.

BTW, booked a testdrive for a facelifted Mercedes E350 4Matic.

This was a V8 diesel GL420 CDI. Overkill, but still a nice-looking truck. Love it.

Thanks for the pics, it looks huge in the pictures, and I'm sure it looks bigger in real life!

PS, looking forward to the E350 test drive!

It's a very nice SUV. Actually, IMO, MB makes very nice SUVs, that look like SUVs

I saw one two days ago, getting out of a ship, down at the port. It had german licence plates..

Nice pics, Love the GL and the interior looks very good with the leather dash.

I agree, leather and stitching makes me go crazy.

Especially with contrasting colour stitches - it certainly goes a long way to making a car feel special and more individual.
