today on my way to work i stopped by a mercedes benz dealler at west covina , they had 2 GL 450 , one in black and one in silver on the showroom it was the 1st time i see the gl on flesh, IMO the gl-class looks much better than the ml-class and the X5 , the car looks very sharp and clean ,and its very huge, the interior is slightly differant from the ml interior but i really like it . kabus to mercedes

they did a very great job

Nice to see you liked it, from the pictures I think it looks a very nice car, yet to see one in the flesh though! I don't think I'll see many around where I live anyway!

I saw the car in Geneva and I cant say I paid much attention to it. CLK63 stole my heart instead

I also stopped by the dealer today to see the new GL for the first time and the new S-class up close. Have seen a few S550's on the road and I think it looks good in motion, esp in black. Well, the dealer had no S550's in stock and said they are sold out for a while. They have a black GL. I thought it was okay, but I expected the interior to be roomier inside. It seems too narrow from the outside and inside too. It doesn't seem to offer much over the ML. It seems my brothers ML with the 3rd row seating had about the same amount of volume in the back.

I got a good chuckle from a few of the GL commercials that were playing during live F1 qualifying. The front of the GL looked fairly menacing in some of the motion shots.

Early indications are that the GL will NOT suffer the slow sales start of the R-Class...whew! Boy am I glad about that. The GL is a very handsome SUV is a segment that Mercedes hasn't have a product in before, the large SUV class. I think we have another hit in a pretty good list of recent hits: SLK, CLS, S, and now GL. Is the CL next???

There seem to be a few right and just wrong MB products out right now. I've seen the GL at a distance and not too close, the commercials though, that particular color looks great. I'll have to browse sometime tom. and check it for myself.

Which MB products do you think are right and wrong? I think the A/B (either or) and the R-Class are "wrong" to a degree, but not much else.

I think the B class, is wrong, but the A class is right! MB need a cheap car to go to the masses!
