I know he's not the most objective source, but Bruno Senna suggests that had his uncle, Ayrton Senna, lived, Schumacher would have won two less WDC. I guess he's suggesting that Senna and Schu would both tie Fangio with five.

In 1994, Senna was down 20 pts. to Schu after the first two rounds. Had he won Imola, he would have been 16 down. Damon Hill took Schu down to the final race, infamously. I think Ayrton could have won in '94. Schu would have got the '95. Perhaps Bruno is suggesting that his legendary uncle would have raced in '96 and destroyed the field with the Williams Damon Hill drove.

Can't remember the source, but some people thought Ayrton would not have tried to beat Fangio's record because he had so much respect for him. Is 5 WDC that hard to win?

what he says could be true and at the same time could be wrong. All I know is the fact That what he says could have happened didn't happen...so there is no point in talking about "ifs" over facts.

I know Senna had the Williams contract for a couple of years, and until 1997 the Williams cars were the best, so yes I belive Senna could have won the 1994, 1996 and even 1997 seasons.

Altough things would most definately be different... IMO it's hard to speculate on such things. At least racing would have been more exciting!

Siko is right. If Senna had kept on driving also he would very likely went to Ferrari instead of Michael, or maybe not? It's vey hard to speculate.

But Senna always went to the best team and Ferrari was not the best team. I think he would have ended with Williams in '96. I understand it's hard to speculate, but Senna had the skill and the equipment with the awesome Williams cars.

Imagine if Fangio, Senna and Schu all had 5 WDC. Alonso could pass them all in one shot.

Senna died before he could make an impact @ williams...they way williams was back in those days i wouldnt be surprised to see senna winning 95,96
