Re: Brazilian GP

My race predictions:

Schumacher will dominate his final F1 race from start to finish majesticly, Massa will try to keep up without much success, still getting second place. Alonso will quite securly come in third.

Race hopes:
Alonso will get in some trouble at the start, still manages to get to the pit and get everything fixed. He comes out of the pit, overtakes alot, does well but his agressive driving takes its toll on the tires, he starts to lose grip and eventually spins. And then spins again. Croses the line in 15th place, while Michael takes the win.

I'd rather see Alonso lose because of driver errors than technical difficulties.

Re: Brazilian GP

My race hopes, seriously, is that half way through the race, Schumacher leading Alonso in second, all of a sudden a red dot appears on alonso's head in the pit lane... The rest is left your imagination.

Re: Brazilian GP

My hope is that the whole race is a fight between M$ and FA in 1st and 2nd place, but all of a sudden, Robert Kubica comes out of nowhere and takes the lead 'cause M$ and FA crashed!!!

Hehe, j/k...

Don't care at all, but it'll be interesting, that's for sure...

Re: Brazilian GP

It will be pretty cool if Montoya just magicly appeared and start beating the crap out of FA. Righto serious now.

Schumacher will dominate his last race and leave with a show... as For FA... well I dont think he will win the championship in style... he will; just be in the points somewhere.

Re: Brazilian GP

Contrary to Ferrari, Renault is playing it safe!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Renault play safe with Alonso
Fisichella gets new spec engine

Oct.17 (GMM) Renault boss Flavio Briatore confirmed this week that Fernando Alonso's car will not be fitted in Brazil with the team's latest specification of V8 engine.

The French squad announced on Monday that the championship leader's teammate, Giancarlo Fisichella, is to enjoy the new 'e-spec' engine, which is rumoured to boast a one to two-tenth per lap advantage over its predecessor.

"It should be a good step forward for me," the Italian enthused.

Because 25-year-old Alonso only needs to finish the 2006 finale in eighth place, however, Renault has opted to play it safe by counting on the additional reliability of an older 'd-spec' unit.

"We are going a bit safer with Fernando," broadcaster RTL quoted Briatore as saying.

Despite the more cautious preparation, though, the 56-year-old chief insisted that Alonso and the team have been instructed to win Sunday's race in Sao Paulo.

He said: "It's like in soccer, if you go looking for a draw then you usually lose the match."

Re: Brazilian GP

Race Predictions:
Schu qualifies behind Massa (again). Alonso is on pole, but qualified on fumes and drives casually. Uneventful drive to the end. Alonso finishes 3rd.

What I hope (Part One):
Schu gets away and starts flying. Alonso pranches around quietly and makes a second pitstop. Bang! A wheel nut flies off and he is out. Schu nurses a sick engine home.

Part Two:
If Alonso finishes race in points, I hope Schu's engine lets go at the final corner of his F1 career. He tells ITV's Louise Goodman that he does not wish to go out with two engine-related DNFs.

Fast forward to January car launches. Renault announces the driver line-up. They name Michael Schumacher to drive their number one car. He cashes their cheque for $100 million US.
