My ***, this is a sport, sport should be a about fair play. If not they should call it cheater's games.
I don't care what the name is, no fair game, you're ousted.
But then again who should be an example, certainatly not Mosley or Ecclestone.
you just keep twisting my words and acting like a child. This discussion is over. You have your opinion, we all know that. Please respect mine.

Guys, please cool it.

This back and forth is not really adding anything substantial to this thread.

At this point, let’s all agree to disagree.

Although the use of huge size of letters is not a direct violation of the forum rules it can be considered as a form of spamming and use of foul language even when implied can also lead to concequences. So i would advice Rik and Imp. Evil to calm down. Behaviour like this won't be tolerated much longer.

I hope i made myself clear. Thank you.

Re: Former racer reveals dirty Ferrari trick

Wow. How did this thread degenerate like this?

Knowing what I know now about Mr. Fontana's claims, I would still call Schumacher the greatest driver ever. So what if he and his team bend the rules? Senna was no saint either. People who criticize Schumacher's driving should also extend their criticism to Senna. Since he died on the track, he is put on an immortal level, but he demonstrated the same type of behaviour.

F1 is a stressful sport. Whenever you have guys driving so close to each other and at such speed, poor decisions occur. When there is such huge amounts of money involved, participants do desperate things to get an advantage. Perhaps money in sport has corrupted competition. Perhaps money has turned sport into businesses - not particularly good ones, but a business nonetheless.

Re: Former racer reveals dirty Ferrari trick

Ooo ooo another heated debate around Michael Schumacher! The disgusting cheat that he his!

Please man... this is the 21st Century. Sport has changed. Motor racing doesn't resemble the sport it was 50 years ago. It's about branding and marketing and winning at all costs and spending a gazillion bucks to get there. The pressure these days on a driver to deliver the goods is nothing short of immense.

... oh and no one cares to remember that Michael's been on the receiving end of some dodgy F1 sportsmanship too. David Coulthard, SPA 1998. Pouring rain about to be lapped by Michael. Rear warning light suspiciously malfunctioning and straddling the racing line. Murray Walker: "Oh God - Schumacher's..." Michael would have won the Championship that year too.

You go and compete in a motorsport as long as Michael Schumacher at his level of intensity and commitment. Let's see how blotted your copybook would be...
