Montoya set for Williams return!

After a two-season sojourn at McLaren, Juan Pablo Montoya will return to Williams in 2007, according to a Spanish newspaper.

AS reports that the 30-year-old Colombian, who was in danger of dropping out of the sport altogether after two disappointing years alongside Kimi Raikkonen, is to steer a Toyota-powered Williams for the F1 team he debuted for five years ago.

Montoya's team-mate, the publication contends, will be Nico Rosberg, as Mark Webber - with his links to manager Flavio Briatore - sets off to steer a Renault-powered Red Bull

Well, i'm happy because of it. He didn't do anything in McLaren and there's no place for him any more in McLaren. Good ol' Sir Frank wants his driver back and i'm really glad he managed it. I only hope that Toyota will supply some decent engines to Williams and that i'll see again those great days of Montoya while he was at Williams.

I'm so dissapointed. He has been really inconsistent with his driving. He should go to Honda or something.

Montoya is the one who deserves a slap. Damn F1 will be really interesting next year. Lots of drivers are changing teams.

And only bridgestone as tire supplier. Because of that I think Ferrari will win it all

Re: Montoya set for Williams return!

This won't happen... Montoya's run in F1 is over at the end of this year. He'll return to the new IRL/Champ circuit.

Re: Montoya set for Williams return!

Montoya has not been impressive at all this season, but imo he is at least better than Fisichella right??!! and while it may seem reasonable that he will not get a race seat in F1 next season, on the other hand i don't think he is crap enough to not get a F1 race seat...
Montoya hasn't been inconsistent, he just can't get his car to suit himself, which is another reason why Mclaren should do everything they can to keep Raikonnen because he is the only man who can drive any Mclaren like a winning car.

Only rumors, siko, rumors... He said himself that everything is possible, but i clearly doubt that noone wants him in F1 anymore...
