Giving up is not an option says Schu!

Michael Schumacher says giving up on the title fight is “not an option” despite being 23 points behind world championship leader Fernando Alonso after the Renault driver’s latest win at Silverstone last weekend.
The Ferrari ace, a seven-times world champion, reckons that having the odds stacked against him – Alonso is more than two clear wins ahead of Schu – is what motivates him most.
“Giving up is not an option, there's no reason to,” he told his website.
“There's too many races left to do that.
"Of course we know that we have to start closing the gap now and the only way to do that will be to be quicker than Fernando and the Renaults.
“That's going to be tough because they are doing a great job, but that's what makes it so exciting," he added.
“There's nothing better than a tough and difficult fight, that's extremely inspiring.
“I like to think that anything is still possible for us and we are all determined to make it happen."
Schumacher admitted that he was shocked by his latest defeat to the young Spaniard, having headed into the weekend full of confidence after a strong test prior to the grand prix.
"To be honest, after the good tests at Barcelona we had expected to be the quickest here at Silverstone," he said before going on to explain why there is still hope left for him as the season approaches its half-way stage.
"It always depends on how you look at things, and I like to be optimistic.
“Sure, it's fair to say that the fight for the championship will be extremely tough if things continue this way. We're aware of that.
“But you also have to take into consideration that the season is not even half over!
“So Fernando being able to secure such and advantage for himself in the first half means that it's also possible that he will lose it again.”
Formula 1 now travels to its North American double-header and Indianapolis – a track where Ferrari remains unbeaten since 2001.
"The characteristics of those two circuits are completely different,” said Schumacher comparing Indy and Montreal to recent races.
“No team has tested there, we're using completely different aerodynamics packages.
“I can't judge how we will do there compared to the others yet. But I would prefer for us to do well."

We'll see.
But I doubt, Renault has any equalls.
