![]() ![]() | Alfa run 159 RWD version in WTCC next year Alfa Romeo are poised to give the green-light to using their new 159 in the World Touring Car Championship next season, according to a report in this week's Autosport. but.... since the 4 wheel drive system has been dissallowed... so Alfa make it to 2 wheel.... brains at NTechnology (Alfa competition arm) said "fine! we will race it with RWD!" BMW is protesting Alfa run in RWD as the normal road cars are 4wd and if they can't run that then they want them to run FWD.... |

![]() | Re: Alfa run 159 RWD version in WTCC next year Plus, what is BMW's reason for not wanting them to run in RWD, but want them to run in FWD? Instead of not running at all? I have thought that the 159 was standard in 4WD, so it's sort of their choice, right? Whereas, say, an Audi A4 comes in FWD and 4WD, so it would be logical for a 2WD version of that to be FWD, and not RWD. |
