There are tiny cameras that can take top quality spy pictures, even in the dark! Mike Myers uses one prominently in the first movie. Austin even gets a romp with "Italian private, confidential secretary" Alotta Fagina. Should an Italian team not have a few "IPCS" also? However stupid, careless, ridiculous, criminal this scandal is, no driver or team will get punished. I would imagine that would not sit well with Ferrari. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: McLaren senior member suspended Man...you guys can hate on Ferrari all you want. The point is that those documents were classified documents and were the property of ferrari. Also the fact that the police actually found documents in Mike's house makes it even more serious. It is one thing to allege someone stole something but when evidence is found, there is no way of arguing that (unless your lawyer is a badass.) Seriously though, Ferrari is the victim here. Those documents probably contain hundreds of hours and millions of dollar in research. You can hate ferrari all you want but they have a right to protect what's theirs. |

![]() ![]() | Re: McLaren senior member suspended and it's not like the guy is gonna steal document for his own benefit. I mean, what the hell can he do. Mclaren can distance themselves as much as they wan't but if this is true; there is no chance in hell they didn't know anaything about it. |

![]() | Re: McLaren senior member suspended Some members of this board even claim I have Ferrari/Schumacher addiction. True to a certain extent. However, I just think they deserve a little blame for one of its relatively high level employee going ballistic and allegedly giving secrets to a rival. Nige was very disgruntled with Ferrari and with the way he was treated. He didn't do it because has happy! Sure, what he allegedly did was wrong, but when someone goes rogue in a company, the company itself should take a cold hard look at its own practices. I won't likely ever hate Ferrari, but I think it is a very political team. I am not saying they are not victims. I am saying that they are the victims, but they don't deserve to be cast as a completely blameless victim when a long-serving employee supposedly goes rogue. Even if another team's engineer guy photcopied the data in front of the FIA, what will they do about it? I bet it'll be nothing. F1's ringmaster has already commented on it and distanced the team from the driver, which won't jeopardize Hamilton's lead. Mclaren doesn't have to distance themselves. They won't get punished. Ferrari is definitely getting the sh*t end because the data supposedly includes future designs. Yeah, for an engineer to possess another team's data and not use/share/distribute it within his own team is hard to believe. Anyway, my point is that whatever involvement there was on the part of Mclaren, it will be irrelevant because I don't see how they will be punished. They certainly will not lose points or be disqualified. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: McLaren senior member suspended But we don't have McMerc's 2008 car. McLaren are clean, (simply) because no part of their car can possibly have a part on it that was designed by Ferrari. Using a part designed by another team is against the rules (in reality, only for a while). The FIA can only punish a team if it violates the F1 or Sporting Regs and stealing another team's IP isn't in those rules. |
