![]() | Re: McLaren 'civil war' brewing Yes, which is why I find it surprising that Alonso did not demand No. 1 at Mclaren. Montoya today said that there is always a No. 1 there. I think it's generally conceded that Mclaren is faster this year because of Alonso's input on the testing an development side. He is getting less of the points payoff though come race day, for whatever reason. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: McLaren 'civil war' brewing I think he belived it to come as natural, that he would have received top status, as the proved product, the one in charge of car development, and bringing the big bucks (big Santander sponsorship deal). I heard some of his friends and family decided to go from the McMerc motor-home because some top McMerc execs. were clearly sideing with Hamilton witch they saw as their boy, as opposed to Alonso witch they saw as the Renault guy. His manger even went to the Renault motorhome. BTW F. Briatore anounced he sees him as the winner and that Renault staff suports him, from the other side. I still think he's gonna win, regadless. And if McMerc don't support him enough, it will be their loss. |
