Renault F1 podcast; NO PR non-sense

Necessity is the mother of invention, or so they say. So when the old format ING Renault F1 Team podcast was consigned to the past by rights restrictions, the team at Renault were, once again, forced to adapt and innovate to stay ahead of the game.

The result is a brand-new format podcast that still brings you some of the best information in the F1 paddock. Our new format includes some of the top names in F1 as panellists - the ever-eloquent Pat Symonds, and Steve Nielsen, our plain-speaking Sporting Manager. We have quizzed them on the team's current situation, how Fernando Alonso will respond under pressure at McLaren, night races in Singapore in 2008 - and the sensational rookie debut of Lewis Hamilton.

We also continue our series of interviews with team personnel who you don't get to see. This week, our Machine Shop Manager Jeff Fullerton talks about how he got into the crazy world of F1 - and his adventures with Senna, Piquet and the Benny Boys back in the 1980s...

We asked all of them to speak their mind, to be forthright and opinionated without worrying about PR-speak - and we think the result is something pretty tasty for all fans of Renault and F1. Pat will join us for each round table podcast between now and the end of the season, accompanied by a different member of the senior technical staff each week. We are aiming to be edgy, controversial and innovative with this new programme.
