Are you happy with your F1 coverage?

Simple question...

Here, its to easy said, pathetic. The only race of the season I get to watch live is the Aussie GP. Even though Chinese and Japanese GP's should be live here at 2 in the afternoon, its telivised usually at 10:30pm and later.

Then we have this weeks GP, live and 10pm, telivised at 12 because of Big Brother of all god damn shows... Only this year have they started showing Quali, and its not live and it is bearly advertised of when its on, usually late at night too.

It really is making me angry now. I have left a complaint on the networks forum, but I know it wont be noticed.

I want our local pay TV to buy the rights from ITV away from 'channel 10'. If they do all races will be live aswell as qualifying.

I'm happy here; i watch all the races and qualies, even if i have to wake up at 04:00am to check Aussie GP, Suzuka, etc...

F1 is always on and never postponed or canceled - thanks to Croatian national TV.

You won't have to watch Aus GP at 4am anymore when the night races start

I think?

Sadly F1 isn't very big relatively outside of Europe. There are fanatics around the world... Just not enough of them to justify the cost.

What will make things even worse is that they want to do night races to better suit the Europeans! Thats even worse for us, because the races that were in my timezone will no longer be!

On our pay TV, the races and qualifications are all live, taken from ITV.

Re: Are you happy with your F1 coverage?

I think the plan is to make all southern hemisphere races at night.

Well here in NZ it would be. Take for example the Singapore race that was just annouced. Usually races start around 2pm local time. Singapore is 5 hours behind NZ time, meaning usually I could watch it around 7pm. However, Singapore is a night race, so lets say it starts at 9pm or 10pm. That means it'll be on at 2am or 3am my time. Isn't that rather sad for me

It is understandable, and as I said because it isnt Ecclestones passion, its his business, he doesnt want to loose a single cent to show a minority what they love so much.

Well, if you're a die hard F1 fan, it won't be a problem for you to stay awake or to get up at that time.

And since this season looks very promising and it's very exciting so far, i think it's worth.
