Mclaren always runs well at Monaco. Massa does not and Ferrari hasn't won Monaco in years, although Schu easily had the pace to win last year, if only he didn't get sent to the back of the grid. Last year, Massa started 21st, next to Schu. He's crashed there at least twice. If Malaysia exposed Massa's weakness, I think Monaco will do it again.
Shumi's 2006 stunt- what was he thinking?

I hope Massa will not repeat the same mistake of 2006.
Speaking about Malaysia, I think Massa made amends for that in the Spanish GP and proved that he can play tough as well.

Re: Raikkonen: I'll show my true pace in Spain

I don't know what Schu was thinking, Chonkoa. It was so unnecessary. He started last and finished 5th. He could have qualified P2 and won rather easily and the world championship could have ended up with Schu winning an 8th title. That stunt cost him.

To be fair, Massa had a car problem and did not qualify a time last year at Monaco. I forgot to mention that. I think Monaco is there for Hamilton's taking. Alonso seems out of sorts at the moment. Mclaren will leave Monaco with a bigger lead in the constructors and drivers championship.

Re: Raikkonen: I'll show my true pace in Spain

Don't count the 2 times WDC out yet. He was dominated in the first half of the 2004 season my Trulli, but camed back while the Trulli lost consistency.

Must be real bad for Alonso, not leading the championship after the first 4 races.

Anyway, hope for an interesting race/season.

BTW, Schumi also lost a lot at Adelaide and Hungaroring, not just Monaco.

Re: Raikkonen: I'll show my true pace in Spain

Hamy goes fastest again at the Monaco simulation test. No word yet on how they did over long runs. Their best laps:
1 Hamy 1'05.614 133
2 Massa 1'05.755 107

Alonso and Raikkonen take the wheel tomorrow, but it will be on the full track. I'm not counting Alonso out yet, but he can be knocked out if he is beaten handily at Monaco by Hamilton. He will lose his mind and Hamy will be untouchable. I'm not the oddsmaker, but I have Hamy as a clear favourite in front of F1 royalty in two-weeks.

Re: Raikkonen: I'll show my true pace in Spain

Apparently Räikkönen left the paddock on Sunday to go watch the ice hockey World Championship final, with permission from Ferrari. I don't think watching that game improved his mood, mind you.

Don't count Kimi out just yet. Kimi seems to be really good at this track, or at least that's what I can see.

Re: Raikkonen: I'll show my true pace in Spain

Monaco is his favourite track. I have wonders how it will be there with these hard tires. And especially with Kimi.
