![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Kangaroo TV rolled out at all races ![]() Formula 1 fans attending a grand prix in 2007 will now have access to hand-held consoles carrying a live feed of the race. Kangaroo TV has announced that it will roll out its mobile-media devices at all this season’s races after successful trials at grands prix last year. In addition to a live race feed, fans will be able to access in-car driver cameras, team radio audio, live public address commentary, race timekeeping, real-time leaderboard and statistics. “Formula One Management is thrilled to have significantly contributed to the introduction of the Kangaroo TV hand held system at the circuit within F1,” said F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. “It’s outstanding, and yet another example of how F1 intends to remain at the forefront of technology, performance and experience in motorsport. “With Kangaroo TV, fans will be able to get closer to the action than ever before at every F1 event.” The Canadian firm behind the device believes spectators will now be able to customise their grand prix weekend experience. “The immediate live access of Kangaroo TV makes for a more customised and personally satisfying experience for devoted Formula 1 race fans,” Alain Charette, executive of Kangaroo TV said. “It’s a must have to capture everything and I am glad to see it fully commercially launched this season. The consoles will be available to teams and sponsors in the paddock and to the general public from onsite vending stations. Source = ITV F1 |
