True, very true. A lot don't look quite right, but Aston does it with ease. First the DB9 and now this! No one has a better looking lineup of cars, albeit just 2 or 4 models depending on how you count them....lol!!! Is the Vanquish still sold in Europe? It has been pulled from the U.S. market.

I just watched Jason Plato reviewing the DB9 Volante and I realised how staggeringly mind-blowing the Volante really is. It looks elegant from outside, has adequate power (who cares if it doesn't match Lamborghini) and feels great inside. I'd love to be seen in one driving slowly around town, this is the ultimate car for that...

Not so much the Vantage though, it doesn't quite give me the same 'Wow!' factor.

My guess would be that the DB9 made it pointless. The DB9 came to market with 450hp and the Vanquish had only 10 hp more. Then they came out with the Vanquish S that had 520hp, but apparently that didn't make a difference. The Vanquish had an outdated interior with too many visible/obvious Ford bits and it just didn't justify the price difference. Lastly, and I never thought I'd say this, but the DB9 made the Vanquish look old and dated. The Vanquish being a stunner when it was first introduced. I never thought I would tire looking at it, still don't, but next to the DB9 something had to give. Now with a 500hp+ DBS coming there was clearly no need to keep producing the Vanquish which was if im not mistaken still built in a seperate factory from the DB9 and Vantage. Not to mention that Vanquish's platform wasn't the new VH platform from the DB9/Vantage. There were too many things stacked against the fading beauty Vanquish.

The funny part is that when I first saw the Vanquish I felt the same way about it as I do the DB9 today. No one could have ever told me that Aston would have been able to top the Vanquish. Thank goodness the V8 Vantage didn't date the DB9 in the same manner!
