Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

I know many of you really dislike the Scaglietti, but this Novitec Rosso version is quite an improvement over the standard model...don't you think?

Amazing what a difference smoked lenses can make to the rear. Still not keen on the look though.

Re: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

I saw those pictures a couple of weeks ago and I ahve to say that I was pretty impressed with what I saw. The few little touches have improved the car alot.

Big improvement! it looks fantastic. I like it a lot, and the changes are subtle
doesn`t make the car screem "look at me"

Re: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

The problem with the 612 is that it is too long. That technical detail of placing the engine behind the front axle kills the proportions IMO.

At Villa d’Este last weekend, Pininfarina showed a special version of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, specially made for the chairman of New York’s public transport authority the MTA, Peter Kalikow. At first sight the car looks very similar to the series model, but closer inspection reveals many differences.

Re: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

Had my doubts about this car when it made its debut. I was starting to think that Ferrari had lost its mojo; that Italian lines were growing stale and were out of touch with what was fresh and exciting in car design.

I was wrong. The 612 is a class act that's unabashedly cab-backwards and aware of its station in life. The look is distinct, very Ferrari and flaunts just the right amount of flare suited for a 2+2.

Re: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

OMG... that is simply stunning...!!! Awesome improvement!!

The standard 612 Scaglietti was terrible in my mind. In my mind, it tried to be more elegant than Ferrari-eqsue, but this Novitec Rosso had totally reinstated my faith in the Ferrari (along with the 599 GTB which looks awesome!)

For some reason, that first picture looks spickin' awesome. So low, so dark at heart and that face, just staring at you with a sadistic smile. It's pure evil, ... and that notion is further conveyed with the smoked rear lights. That low-hung stance, the ever increasing waistline and ofcourse, the quad exhaust.. they all add to the appeal of this car!

I always wanted to know what a 2-door sporty version of the Maserati Quattroporte would look like...
... and this is exactly that!
Very similar curves, very similar styling elements (especially the raised waistline at the C-pilar) as well as how the car continues to drop off towards the front of the car. Here's a good picture to compare:

(** The reason I put those CGI's is so you the lines of the Q'porte can be better seen)

Love both cars!!
