| Ferrari Mille Chili Concept It looks like a toy but this car is the technical showcase for future Ferrari cars. It has a hybrid drive system. The electric motor will briefly deliver torque to the rear wheels to cover the gap when shifting between gears. Future Ferrari powertrains will be able to run on bioethanol as well. The wheels look fake because this concept car is purely to show how much smaller the Enzo could be made. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Quote:

| Re: Ferrari Mille Chili Concept Out of all car companies, i expect Ferrari to be the last to adopt hybrid technology. I can't wait for the Enzo's replacement with carbon fibre suspension arms, lightweight seamless shift gearbox, 2nd generation ceramic disc brakes, and the engine from the FXX. Isn't the FXX suppose to be the testbed for the Enzo's replacement? Does Ferrari actually put new components and test them out on the FXX or is the FXX just a very successful marketing and profit generating exercise. |

| Re: Ferrari Mille Chili Concept I guess they have to be prepared for the future. The environmental politics is gaining more and more momentum -- there will be a lot of pressure put on car makers to reduce CO2 emissions -- a brand like Ferrari has to adapt now or face being cut out of key markets, like the USA, in the future. Remember when the F430 was going to be banned in the US for not meeting airbag regulations -- I expect the Democrats will be very tough on CO2 emissions. |
