Hmm don't know what to say. It is sexy but the front looks a bit squat.

You can surely tell that the same guy who drew this Maser also drew the 599 GTB.

Re: Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

The rear light's look A/S5ish don't ya think? And what models does it compete against, the CL, CGT?

Re: Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

Yeah they do and the rear is kinda wide and flat like the A5 too. I think it competes with the Jaguar XKR, Aston V8 Vantage and some 911s along with the CL and 6-Series. In short any GTish, 2-doorish type, high-end luxury/sport car.

That's odd don't ya think? It competes against 2+2's as well as full size luxury coupes like the CL. Damn this thing stradles every segment!

Re: Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

It is a mixture of the CL and the Vantage.

Re: Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

I like the rear-end styling & rims on this new icon ...!

Beside that, I think, last gen was even better-looking ...!

Re: Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

I think the GT needs to be seen in real life to make a good judgement about the front-end styling. The whole mug looks a bit funny, but the flanks are so sculpted I think the impression could be very dramatic in person.

In any case - Jag, are you taking notes? Your XK already looks like it's 6 years old.

Well yes, but not really. Since they only have one 2-door they'll try to hit the sports car and GT segments at the same time. I suspect we'll see sportier versions of this car down the road to really compete with 911 Turbos and what not.
