New Milano Supercar: Castanga

Some of you guys might have heard the latest rumours about a brand new Italian manufacturer formed in Milano. Here's a preview, official release is set for Top Marques in Monaco on the 19th.

It's called the: Castagna

Castagna is actually a very old Italian coachbuilding company ...they have even made bodies for Rolls-Royce and at least one Mercedes-Benz in the 1930s.

BTW, Castagna is pronounced something like Caz-tahn-yuh -- (gna -like in lasagna pasta)

very interesting, waiting on pics that i can actually see more of the car in. Performance seems great though well the output numbers and such

The company closed down, like most of the famous coachbuilders, some time after WW2 due to monocoque car construction making independent coachbuilding no longer viable.

I don't know who is responsible for the revival of Castagna in the mid 1990s, but they seem to survive by making one-off versions of production cars like the Mini.

What do you think of this Bentley GT shooting Brake CGI? (it is on their website)
