It ain't over till the fat lady sings, and although it promises to be a real screamer, TVR's seductress is anything but fat. We were pleased to bring you earlier information on the upcoming Typhoon, and now more details and computer-generated preview images have surfaced.

Once it hits production, the Typhoon will be TVR's first completely computer-designed car, helping the automaker fine-tune the aerodynamics to a more efficient extent. Power will come from TVR's 4-liter inline-six, only with a big nasty supercharger pumping horsepower up to 600 and torque up to 500 lb-ft. Supercharger or no supercharger, six hundred horses out of a six-cylinder engine is no mean feat, and the engine specialists at Ricardo helped along the way.

Helping plant all that power to the tarmac will be a beefed-up limited-slip differential and the T56 six-speed manual from the Corvette. Rolling stock consists of 19-inch wheels strapped to adjustable Bilstein dampers. Carbon-fiber body panels will be laid over a tubular steel chassis, complete with integrated roll-cage. The interior will come fitted with Sparco-sourced carbon fiber racing buckets up front and, thanks to a longer wheelbase than the TVR Tuscan, a pair of bucket seats in the back, too.

TVR is working to keep the weight down, targeting a feather-like 1100kg. That's less than the Enzo, and with almost as much power, so expect 0-60 times in the mid-3s and a top speed well into the 200 mph club. Those would be some very impressive figures if TVR manages to translate them into reality – with a ₤120k target price, it's going up against some serious competition from the likes of the Ferrari 430 and Lamborghini Gallardo.
