Spyker C8, First Performance Test - Road & Track

This is the very first performance test for Spyker's C8!



0-60 mph: 4.4 seconds
0-100 mph: 10.3 seconds

"It's 3:30 a.m. and I, blurry-eyed, am fumbling in my unlit driveway with what could be the most expensive key fob to grace the pouches of my well-worn Banana Republic jeans. Plopping down into the cockpit while simultaneously leveraging the gullwing door closed, I feel like a rookie pilot about to embark on his first solo cross-country. I briefly draw a blank trying to remember the correct ignition sequence flawlessly executed a handful of times prior to taking on this assignment, but then a recital of “Spyker-mantra” did the trick — “Open glovebox, insert secondary key, quarter-turn clockwise, flip ignition toggle, clutch in, hit start button!” Ah, it gets easier every time! The all-aluminum Audi V-8 rumbles to life and authoritatively clears its throat, emitting intoxicating exhaust tones through the slumbering neighborhood
