Do you like the designs of Joe Colombo?

Here is Joe Colombo sitting in one of his chairs. He really is one of the greatest Italian designers of all time. Sadly, he was killed in a car accident in 1971 aged 41.

Re: New objects

Bisazza glass mosaic tiles

This big lamp was designed by Alessandro Mendini using Bisazza tiles. I love this. The gold Bisazza tiles are made with 24 karat gold ...he he . I also like the gold bathroom in the picture above -- it is glitzy but kind of neat.

Re: New objects

Wow, your extensive knowledge in design is extraordinary. Hopefully one day I'll know as much as you. I'm actually a fan of Joe Colombo, I especially love his lamp designs and the tube chair is one of my favorite pieces.

So were are back to tiles again? Mendini's protus chair tiles were quite stunning and the interiors you have posted above show how underestimated tiles are, and that they can be used n other places than in bathroom. I see you like the goledn bathroom, want to throw in a couple of Versace tiles in there too?

Unfortunately it's not available for purchase yet and is nothing more than a concept at the moment.

Re: New objects

These bookcases don't look great, they don't use space very well, and don't look original!

Re: New objects

I agree with Will. They sacrifice function for form.

BTW Luw, funny avatar you have there, I used to watch Kenan and Kel a lot.

Yupp form come before function. Yeah Kenan an Kel were pretty funny, to I didn't have nickelodeon as a kid. I was even told by a guy that they made a movie, I'll try to get my hands on it.
