It looks nice and clean and tidy.... but I do think it looks a bit bland - I want a home button!! Speed wise, it is really really fast at rendering pages - very impressed with that. I'm having a few problems with java on a few websites though. Most annoying thing so far though is that scrolling up with a touchpad doesnt work properly - well for me anyway!

I'm a big Firefox fan, so I dont know if this will be able to change my preference of browser... but for a 0.2 beta version, it looks promising.
forgot, there is a home button, check options to use it.

Re: Google set to introduce its own Web browser

Well, I tried it as well. It's definitely very fast but there are only few settings available and pop-ups don't get blocked but instead open to a minimized window at the bottom. The biggest downside, and the one that still keeps me using FF as my default browser, is the lack of plugins. I need my mouse gestures and adblocking plugins.

Currently I would rate:

1. Firefox 3
2. Opera 9.5
3. Safari / Google Chrome

BTW the first vulnerability on the Google Chrome has been found: Google Chrome vulnerable to carpet-bombing flaw | Zero Day | ZDNet.com

Re: Google set to introduce its own Web browser

don't trust in google
there is simply too much power in one company
they are collecting data like other people stamps and after the release of their browser one must really start to think about it!
the eula even says that they collect your data(yes they changed some paragraphs after the release, but who should take care of them)
even the german "ministry" for IT Security warns from that browser

Me too. I can't trust giving away so much functionality and data.
