I'm right with you friend. I held off my purchase for a music player waiting for the next best thing from Apple. Honestly, besides design Apple products have become mediocre at best. Now that we have that statement out of the way, I'm going to wait just a bit longer for something good.

I just heard about Creative coming out with a new Zen Vision with full touch screen like the Ipod touch and also that Zune2 is not like leaked pics. Now I'm going to wait a few months before I can truly make my judgement.

I recently bought my sister a Zune (it was $150 on woot) for a religious holiday (where the brothers have to give a present to their sisters.) Now I have to say that the screen and interface is gorgeous but the Zune software for the computer sucks donkey balls.

So now my choices are down to this.
Ipod Classic 80gb
Zune2 (if it's released this year)
Creative Zen Vision (touch style)

and then buy a solid state touch next year.

Yeah. Hold on to your money. This autumn is hot, lots of gadgets being launched. iAudio was to release their X7 this month but has postponed the launch to the first half of next year.

^^Yep, I'm holding on tight. I almost want to just go out and buy the 80gb classic but I'm holding strong...LOL. I just keep hearing that Zune2 is going to be good. Honestly, if Microsoft adds bigger hard drive, more codecs and better wifi functionality, I would seriously consider it.
