The cls is 1 of the best looking cars on the market and a design first (4 door coupe), how has the market reacted especially in america, if any1 can post the monthly sales of the cls, as there are lots of manufacturers gearing up 2 compete with it, eg the Porsche panamera, new phaeton and aston marrtin rapide.. your posts will be appreciated...

Re: CLS monthly sales? In short, the CLS sales were off significantly in the US. The true level of sales should emerge in 2007 as 2005 was it's first full year and it would have been hard to compete with those numbers in 2006. Sales for the US (by month): Dec: 966 (-21.5%) Nov: 778 (-18.2%) Oct: 863 (-14.3%) Sep: 943 (+10.0%) Aug: 925 (-22.8%) Jul: 790 (-30.9%) Jun: 715 (-40.4%) May: 901 (-41.9%) Apr: 1038 (-42.5%) Mar: 1111 (-36.8%) Feb: 832 (-38.7%) Jan: 901 (+15.8%) Total 2006: 10,763 (-27.4%)

Re: CLS monthly sales? The sales seem to be up and down, not consistant at all! For those people who thought the CLS would steel sales from the E class, this doesn't seem to be the case. I wonder why it isn't selling more, it looks amazing IMO!

It was Alfa Romeo who invented the 4 door coupe in 1997 not Mercedes-Benz. The 156 sedan was designed to look like a coupe. ![]() ![]() | |

Re: CLS monthly sales? The Alfa was purposefully designed to give the appearance of a coupe -- that was the intention. The CLS looks even less like a coupe than the Alfa ......but Alfa were the first to play with the idea.

Re: CLS monthly sales? I think the CLS sales may be off becasue the E-Class just recently got a facelift. Thereby attracting more buyers attention than CLS. When is the CLS due for a facelift? shouldn't be by the end of this year?
