0 to 200 km per hour cls 63 is it true that the cls 63 amg takes about 15.1 to reach 200 km from standstill?? cause i heard that m5 takes about 13 to 13.5 sec to get there!!?? i thought that cls 63 amg will be faster the m5 or is it only faster then m5 to 100 km only? how fast was the e55/cls 55 to 200 km ?? source for the cls 63 amg that i seen was at hspn.com!! im asking cause my m5 was bought back from the factory for numereous tranny failure and i was thinking of the upcoming e 63 amg.... but if those numbers are true that m5 is still faster to 200 km then i will reconsider another m5 hopefully with better luck this time if i get it!

Re: 0 to 200 km per hour cls 63 Wow, sorry to hear about all the problems with your M5. SMG right? Is the Manual going to be out soon, because you could just wait for the Manual version... The CLS probably has the gearing for more acceleration down low I bet, 0-200km may not have been such a high priority vs lower passing speeds. Is that the only thing that you're really concerned about? There are other reasons to choose a CLS63 over an M5 and vice-versa.

i really dont like manual much...some members at m5board said that smg tranny suits the engine better.... regarding speedwise .... i mean thats over 1 full second diffrent slower then m5..... but i hate m5 take off from standstill...the amg just kills it on takeoff's and looks wise i think cls looks way better.... but driving wise m5 is just amazing you actually feel the involvement....i really also like the e63... i guess i have to wait and test drive one cls/e63... its a hard desicion... maybe 07 models m5 the factory will solve this issue...and i had restraint malfunction on it too... (airbag, seat belt tensioners.. etc) im really confused no porsche for me or other brand! | |

Re: 0 to 200 km per hour cls 63 I doubt CLS63 need 15 seconds to 200km/h, BMw claim the same for M5 and obviosly M5 is faster than 15 seconds. MB fans dont need to worry, the new 63 engines will be slightly faster than the M5. So yes, 15 sec for CLS/E63 is underrated.

Re: 0 to 200 km per hour cls 63 Good point from Just_Me, I wasn't aware of those 0-200km/hr times. I'd say wait and test drive them both, either way you can't go wrong, they're both great cars. I wish I was in your position of choosing one or the other for ownership. ![]()
