| New Arrival Well, as stated in the CLS63 thread we are looking to buy a new car for my uncle as a gift and have now gone ahead and made a purchase. Unfortunately it is NOT the 63 but rather the CLS500 fully loaded. My uncle already has a W220 S350 and so it would make no sense to buy a W221 for him. And since this is mainly for my aunt (anniversary gift) my dad wanted to give a more feminine car ala Red CLS. The deal is almost finalized and we are going to confirm it by next weekend. IMHO, I think I am more excited cause we get to use my uncles car anytime, (he was the person who had bought the M5 for me) and the CLS is one of my favourite car so YEAAAA!!!! We are taking 500 instead of 350 for us since my uncle RARELY goes above 60 and my aunt uses a chauffeur. It will be more for us . One thing though is that MB IS COSTLY!!!!!! A fully loaded CLS500 is costing as much as a fully loaded M5!!!!!!! |

| Re: New Arrival OK, one more development. We MIGHT go in for an S350 in maroon if my dad agrees to it. It will ofcourse be fully loaded but its coming to the same price on-road as the CLS500 so lets hope it all works out. I myself am divided between the CLS and the S. The S will have all the goodies and latest technology with amazing comfort but the CLS will be more sporty and much more pleasing to look at. Right now I'm tilting towards the S so lets see. I know I may sound more excited for me than for my uncle, but the way I look at it, my uncle only uses his S for going to dinner at nights, and We (my brothers and I) are never ever restricted for using his car so...... |

I'm waiting for the day the import restrictions come off and then we can show to the world how much money we have!!! P.S. Just for reference, my M5 cost 150,000GBP although it was fully loaded and that is the on-road price including insurance registration etc. which is also insanely high in India. | |
