Re: Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG

CLS55 owners might get upset when thay see this. Thay might have to trade
the 55 in for this 63 model. It`s just better! Love the new badge btw!

I have been reading on mbworld.org for a couple of months. Many of them said that CLS55 would still be faster and that they dont want to replace it it to a 63 car. Their biggest concern was the torque part
I bet most of them will change their mind. I think they underestimate the new engines.

the weirdest part was that they were afraid that 63 cars would be slower at 1/4 meters. Like thats the most important thing Its the total package that counts IMO.

These guys are going to be in for a surprise! It might have not been faster with the 5-speed but the 63 is mated to the AMG modified G7. More gears is like running on extra legs. The tranny itself is like a supercharger!

It`s going to get to 100mph sooner than the CLS55. When it get`s tested
here in the US you can take 0.4sec. off that 0-100kmh time of 4.5sec.
Thats usually that case with MBs.

not only the tranny, the car has more horsepowers and we know the engine weigh less than the old one. Im not saying I would choose this over M5/M6 but the package is more attractive to me now than with the supercharged CLS/E55 A seqventiell or manual gearbox and the car would be perfect IMO

0.4 sec isnt much, the real difference will show after 200km/h

I edited my post.
Yes this 6.3liter is lighter than the KompressorV8 I don`t know by how much
but it should be a good advantage in handling!
