To us, it's a rolling metal sculpture of a - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER greyhound or a thoroughbred. The long wheelbase mimics legs stretched out front and rear, the nose low, straining for the finish line. The CLS is essentially a four-passenger - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER built off the more staid E-Class's chassis. It just happens to have a very special wrapper. There are two models: the CLS 500 with a 302-hp - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER and seven-speed automatic, and the CLS 55 AMG with a 469-hp V8 and five-speed automatic. And, okay, the high belt line means small side windows. And that sweeping roof profile results in less headroom. Honestly, who cares? We don't. | Re: CLS voted best design 'Popular Mechanics' well, Popular mechanics is an American science magazine. What they have to say on automotive design means absolutely nothing. That award means nothing. |

| Re: CLS voted best design 'Popular Mechanics' They may average half a page per issue on cars. They are not a car magazine. Ive never seen a car ad that said they got best design of the year from Popular Mechanics. have you? |

| Re: CLS voted best design 'Popular Mechanics' i have to admit, i disliked everything about even the idea of a "four door coup", but this design has really grown on me. Its one of those cars that looks much better in person than it does on your computer. sleek, dynamic, quite sexy. though it does look ALOT better in AMG trim than the standard bumpers. |
