| From the January 2007 issue of Car&Driver 2007 CLK63 AMG cabrio weight 4113lbs. 0-60mph 4.2sec. 0-100mph 9.5sec. 1-150mph 22.2sec. 0-1/4 mile 12.5sec @ 116mph Street-start 5-60mph 4.4sec. 300ft dia skid-pad..... 0.86g Those numbers are pretty damn impressive and very close to the E and CLS63 models. If the CLK63 cabrio has these numbers the coupe version should be really impressive (even better) to say the least. Too bad we Americans won`t be seeing the coupe anytime soon. ![]() |

lOl, I don`t think thay gave tire specs (not sure, I`ll check).. The review was really short with speed numbers and brake numbers.. I`ll have to post those break numbers when I come back.. I`m almost out of time here.. ![]()

This is as fast as the S65 so because of this it is faster than than E63 and CLS63 which run high 12s.

| Re: Speed specs. for the CLK63 from Car&Driver CLK63 has Pirelli tires and those tires are popular among today sportcars. Tons of grip and the g-pad numbers are a big part thanks to the tires. |

| Re: Speed specs. for the CLK63 from Car&Driver The CLK63 is pretty fast. 4.2 seconds? Back in the mid 1990s, most of these AMG's did 0-100 km/h in like 6.6 seconds average. In 10 years, the CLK93 AMG will be doing 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. ![]() |

| Re: Speed specs. for the CLK63 from Car&Driver Yes, those acceleration numbers are VERY fast indeed. And remember, this is the heavier cabrio they tested. The lighter coupe is likely even faster. As good as these numbers are, I would also wait until Road & Track publishes an instrumented test of this car. We all know Car and Driver almost always gets the fastest times compared to most other American magazines. |

Car&Driver said the CLK63 is 0.6seconds faster through the 1/4 mile than the CLK55, thay also said the car felt more responsive, thought thay wished for a little more feel. The braking distance from 70mph is 155ft.. theirs no doubt AMG is getting better with overall performance.. If AMG sould the CLK63 coupe in the US, there is no doubt the magazines would compare that model to the BMW 6er.
