![]() | Re: Opinions on the CLK-DTM (Roadcar) It is not that far back though. If anybody has a ny numbers for comparisson please post. Don't they have a problem with this car because they can't turn off all the driver aids completely. ( I think I read in on Auto Week when they tested, M6,Gallardo,Cont GT) For 200k euro it is very pricy but to get AMG's ultimate machine it will cost and I'm sure I whoudn't mind having one in my colection if I was rich. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Opinions on the CLK-DTM (Roadcar) I personally think, and many others (including engineers) believe this car is faster than SLR, but it has be detuned so it won't outshine it's bigger (more expensive) brother. Keeping that in mind, I truly believe this is one of the best and underrated cars ever made. I absolutely adore this car. To me this car symbolizes Mercedes'/AMG engineering. This car wasn't designed by the folks at McLaren with their SUPER knowledge of F1...yet it is very much capable of those things that the other big boys can do. To the CLK-DTM ![]() |

Performancewise it does quite well but there are better choices like the GT3 and stradale if you want uber performance. On the other hand the CLK DTM is more about looks but most all exclusivity. It is simply one of those cars which your neighbour probably isn't going to get their hand on. |

Its fast, corners well and looks cool. I just have a few complaints, the car should have manual or seqventiel gearbox and ESP to be turned off 100% and ceramic brakes of course. The car is standard equipped with R-tires and thats a good thing ![]() I pick CLK-DTM over a SLR in a heartbeat. I remember Sportauto final conclusion, quote: the CLK DTM AMG is simply the better car – sorry for Ron and the SLR. ![]() Last edited by Just_me; 10-23-2006 at 06:45 AM. |

I like Audi, Porsche and some MBs too you know. Quote:
I think so too, but the new SLR isn't the car McLaren wanted. The new SLR is marketing product. A true SLR would be a car like the CLK-GTR street-legal, M3 GTR street-legal, Porsche GT1 street-legal, Porsche GT and Pagani Zonda F. | ||
