If the F/Led SL55 AMG is anything to go by, AMGs have changed and now they are good round the twisties as well. If you remember the SL55 beat an M6 around a track, and thats without a CF roof or any of the other go faster technology the M6 has! I think the SL55 can changed my mind about AMG cars, which the CLK DTM car started! |

So its obvisoly it depend on the track, the SL55 beat the M6 one time around a track but it doesnt mean its going to win on every track in the world which Autobild and Sportauto showed us. | |

A car which couldn't handle very well couldn't beat the M6 around any track, so it shows the SL55 is very good, also I'm sure it's much heavier than the M6 considering it has the folding hard top! |

I sure the reason for that is because of bigger displacement and a supercharger, but the old SL55 which had similar amounts of power to the new one and it would never beat an M6 around a track, so something has changed! Can someone please post power figures of the SL55 to compare with the M6! |

BTW before the facelift, SL55 was one second faster than M5 around Nordschleife. SL has alwyas been good handling cars. | |
