This suggests "athletic" ability to me. I don`t see where an automatic tranny would distract from the driver who wants a drivers car in a hi-powered automatic sports car. Quote:
There are many other choices out there. The driver can choose whatever he likes. There are also drivers who don`t like manual or SMG type transmissions (and the problems thay come with). The choices are vast Last edited by Splenditenes; 03-08-2006 at 02:08 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CLK63 to eat M6???? Every carmaker can build a fast car in straightlines and cars to handles well. Whats harder is to build the car around the driver. Its all about feelings, the driver and the car has to become one. You want a great driving experience, you want feedback when you drive a car. Take for instance Golf R32 and 130i. R32 is a faster car around the track, accelerate fast as a 130i but carreviews commented that the 130i is more fun to drive cause the driving experience is better, the feedback to the driver is better. In EVO they had a test between RS4 and M3, the RS4 handles better and accelerate faster but they said the M3 was more fun to drive, the emotions and feedback to the driver was better. A SL55 is faster than 911 Carrera around Nordschleife but it doesnt mean a SL55 is as fun as a Carrera or the feedback to the driver is better in a SL55. Carrera simply offer a better driving experience cause you become one with the car. So whats the meaning with this post? Im saying a big engine isnt the only thing that matters. The ultimate driving experinence is more than just a big engine, its also about feedback and feelings. |

![]() | Re: CLK63 to eat M6???? Like I said a few posts back Just_me, all we have is press info now. You or I don`t know what these cars are capable of yet. I believe we are jumping to too many conclusions at the moment. We were just guessing the speed numbers and thing kind of got out of hand. I suggest we be a little patient for the time being. |

I just read it, the gearbox seem nice, the drawbacks was jerky stops cause by intrusive downshifts, heavy steering. I hope this things have been improved on the bigger brothers. The driving experience would also be better if MB offered a seqventiell gearbox or a manual. I read that MB considering a seqventiell gearbox but it seem to be ahead in the future. I also hope the ESP can be turned off 100%, I remember Sportauto complained it didnt work which affected the laptime.
