The first part of you question answers your second question, American market. We'll demand cupholders in anything...lol!!!

I actually like those seats better than the Euro ones though. They look like they'll hold you perfectly! Also, those racing seats might not jive with our sometimes ridiculous seat/safety regulations, not sure.

I think the racing seats are the way to go, especially here in California where the roads are terrible compared with roads in Europe. I would never get an everyday driver with bucket seats here in Cali.

Why, are bucket seats more uncomfortable than racing seats?

monster, maybe the carbon fibre would be sharp and dangerous when broken, ie in an accident?

I'm reading on MBWorld that the U.S. version won't get the carbon-fiber doors or racing seats due to side-impact regulations. I was wondering where the airbag was on that all-carbon fiber door if the seats are the racing type.

This car looks really good, even the US bound side markers don`t deter the
race like presence.

( This make me wonder will MB AMG produce an E63 Black Series with say 525hp, maby not.. it just sounds so mouth watering!)
